Urban Agoras

The agora was a central spot in ancient Greek city-states and the literal meaning of the word is “gathering place” or “assembly”. The UrbanWINS online urban agoras were a virtual space for discussion, where the project team shared its developments and outcomes, and where all stakeholders were invited to express their needs and wants.

Online Urban Agoras

Face-to-Face Urban Agoras

Participants of the face-to-face agoras helped the consortium to understand the situation of their cities and have a better knowledge of how people perceived waste management, what their needs or problems were. At a second stage, members of the agoras discussed the results and the findings of the project, and how they thought results can be translated into actions.
